Putting Myself Out There

Here I am, writing a public blog for the first time in years.  Why am I doing this?  Despite my insecurities-I saw a need and I decided to fill that need.  Almost one year ago from today Bryce called with the million dollar question "how would you feel about moving to Ireland?"  About one thousand thoughts raced through my mind in that very moment.  I was not a big adventurer, we had three small kids, and had just barely settled into our new house.  After initially deciding against moving, I set to work researching everything I could about living in Europe as an American expat.  Let me tell you, this was a frustrating process.  I was making list after list, pinning as many links as I could find, and my mind was running constantly.  Already I was overwhelmed with the move, and no decision had even been made.  I was searching desperately for someone who could offer the organization that I needed.

Here I am, hoping that I might be able to be that person for someone else.  Expats, people who want to travel with their young children, or just people who are fascinated by this crazy life we are leading-all are welcome.  I will be writing about our European adventures, moving across the world, traveling tips, and providing the lists and organization that I was searching for.

I am by no means professing to be a travel professional.  We love to travel and I love to organize our little trips.  I am not a luxury traveler by any means.  We do not ever stay in the nicest hotels, nor have I ever flown in something better than economy.  I search for good deals, we budget for our trips, and we try to travel during the off season because crowds aren't exactly my favorite thing in the world.  We are Disney freaks and tend to visit Disneyland more than the average human being.  It's an addiction, we are aware.  One of the main reasons that we accepted this job offer in Europe was because we were excited to travel as a family all around Europe.  We have tried to take at least one trip every month and have already seen some incredible things.  So come along with me, it's time to travel!
